Dorset's Enterprising Women Group Get An Insider's View....

 

 

Enterprising Women was founded in September 2007 during Open 4 Business week and now has almost 40 members. The main purpose of the group is for professional and business ladies to have the opportunity to meet up and discuss all aspects of being a women in business in Dorset. The Group has just been awarded a grant from the Rural Business Enterprise scheme run by Business Link Wessex.
Karenlee Knott, Chairman of the Group said “we are delighted to receive this grant, the money will be used to establish a website for the group to enable quick communication between the members and also as an information source for new members and others who maybe seeking a service that one of the Enterprising Women can provide.”

The group will meet next on 12th June at 5.30pm at HM Verne prison on Portland where the event will be hosted by Karenlee Knott, Manager of the Enterprise Connection in Dorchester and also Sue Vallance from HM Verne
One of the aims of the group is to meet bi monthly at different locations in and around Dorset to give variety and inspiration to the group.

At the June meeting a presentation will be given by Caroline Brewer of People and Strategy Limited regarding
“Creative Thinking, Strategy and Direction for your Business.

This event is free as the membership fee of £25 is waived for the first 2 visits to any of the Groups meetings. At the June event all current members are encouraged to introduce a friend or colleague, however all business and professional women are invited to the meeting.

After the meeting, guests are being invited to tour HM Verne – a real insiders view !
